James Pohlad

Jim Pohlad is Executive Chair of the Minnesota Twins. He handed day-to-day Twins operations over to Joe Pohlad in 2022 but continues to be involved as the Control Owner, serving as the club's primary liaison with Major League Baseball. Jim is also the Chair of the Pohlad Investment Committee and serves on several committees for Major League Baseball.
Jim began his career in public accounting after graduating from the University of Southern California with a degree in accounting, and he is also a certified public accountant (Inactive). He joined the family business in 1979 and worked with Marquette Financial Companies in addition to his other leadership roles with the Minnesota Twins.
Through his role on the board of the Pohlad Family Foundation, Jim is engaged in programs that work to reduce disparities among families and youth experiencing homelessness in the Twin Cities. In past years, he has supported and provided leadership to the Twin Cities United Way, Minneapolis Institute of Arts, the Greater Minneapolis Chamber of Commerce, The Minneapolis Foundation and Park Nicollet Health Services and Melrose Institute.
Robert Pohlad

Bob’s responsibilities at Pohlad Companies, since 2010, focus primarily on oversight of the family’s operating companies including Northmarq and PAR Systems. He also serves, along with his brothers, on the Pohlad Family Foundation board.
Graduating in 1976 from Arizona State University Bob began a 35 year career in the family’s Pepsi-Cola businesses. Beginning in Tulsa, OK and continuing in Portland, OR and then returning to Minneapolis he became, in 1998, Chairman and CEO of PepsiAmericas. It grew to become the second largest Pepsi Bottler in the world and in 2010 was acquired by PepsiCo. In 2015 Bob was elected to the Board of Directors of PepsiCo.
Bob serves on the Board of Visitors at the University of Minnesota Medical School, and was previously on the boards of Breck School, MPR, and Cristo Rey Jesuit High School. Currently he is Chair of the Board of Trustees at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington.
William Pohlad

Bill Pohlad has been making groundbreaking films under the River Road Entertainment banner for over thirty years. As a producer, he has been instrumental in Academy Award®-winning Best Picture 12 Years a Slave, The Tree of Life, and Into the Wild. As an executive producer, Bill’s credits include Brokeback Mountain and the documentary Food, Inc.
After earning a bachelor’s degree in accounting and economics from Gonzaga University and working in marketing for the family’s financial services companies through much of the 1980s, Bill decided to pursue his life-long passion for film. While he has been focusing on his producing activities for the last 15 years, Bill made his return to directing in 2014 with Love & Mercy, a dramatic and unconventional portrait of the mercurial leader of the Beach Boys, Brian Wilson.
Bill currently serves as chairman of the Pohlad Family Foundation.
Tom Pohlad

Tom is the Executive Chair of Pohlad Companies. Prior to that he was President and COO of Carousel Motor Group (CMG). Tom joined CMG in 2010, serving in various positions, including General Manager Porsche of Minneapolis and Audi Minneapolis, before becoming president and COO in 2016. Tom joined the Pohlad family business after graduating from Boston College in 2002, working in diverse Pohlad Companies businesses ranging from Commercial Real Estate to Major League Baseball to Pepsi Bottling.
Tom currently serves on the Board of Regents for Boston College and the Board of Trustees at Breck School.

Joe Pohlad is Executive Chair of the Minnesota Twins, providing day-to-day leadership, oversight and strategic guidance for baseball and business operations. Joe joined the Twins organization in 2007, working in a variety of positions in marketing, communications, baseball and operations. Prior to being named Executive Chair in 2022, Joe served as Executive Vice President, Brand Strategy and Growth for four years.
In 2015, Joe became CEO of Go Media, home to radio station Go 96.3. Under Joe’s leadership, Go Media diversified its format and reach in the Twin Cities region. He led the transition of 96.3 from a classic rock and Twins Baseball format to modern alternative and, with the purchase of 95.3, launched a modern hip hop station in 2016.
Joe graduated from Stonehill College in Easton, Massachusetts with a BA in Communications. He joined the Pohlad Foundation Board of Directors in 2017 and, upon its creation in 2020, he joined the Foundation's Racial Justice Grants Committee, which plays a key role in advancing its Racial Justice program.
Chris Pohlad

Chris Pohlad serves as Chief of Staff for United Properties and Northmarq. He is also responsible for oversight of the Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis asset. In his role as Chief of Staff, Chris sits on United Properties’ and Northmarq’s executive committees and helps steer the companies toward their growth and long-term goals with flexible and targeted involvement.
Chris joined United Properties in 2017 and, prior to his current position, worked as an Asset Manager, led marketing and rebranding efforts for Amira, the company’s senior living brand, and played a role in the establishment of the Four Seasons Hotel in Minneapolis, the first five-star luxury hotel in the state. Prior to that, he was at Northmarq for 6 years as an analyst and loan originator in Boston and Seattle.
Chris currently serves as a trustee on the board of the University of Puget Sound, his alma mater. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Politics & Government with a concentration in International Relations from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington.
Charlie Pohlad

Charlie Pohlad serves as Principal at Pohlad Investment Management, where he focuses on manager selection, as well as direct investments in emerging and high growth industries. Charlie began his career at Imperial Capital in Los Angeles, serving as an Associate in the Industry Research Group, covering high yield and distressed debt in the retail and consumer sector. He is currently on the board of Microstar Logistics, and was previously a member of the Citi Private Bank North American Client Advisory Board.
Charlie earned his Master’s in Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of Southern California, which he also attended as an undergraduate, earning a B.A. in both Art History and East Asian Languages and Cultures (Chinese).
Charlie currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Dia Art Foundation in New York and the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis. He is a member of the National Council of the Aspen Art Museum, and a member of The Serpentine Americas Foundation. In 2022, he was appointed to the President’s Advisory Committee on the Arts by President Biden.

Allie Pohlad serves on the Pohlad Companies' Board of Directors. In 2012, she co-founded and operated a fresh-pressed juice business in Minneapolis, which she successfully ran for eight years. She is currently obtaining a Masters degree from St. Mary's University in Counseling and Psychological Services.
Allie previously earned a Masters in Holistic Health from St. Catherine’s University after receiving a B.A. in Feminist and Gender Studies from Colorado College. She is passionate about issues impacting new parents, women’s rights, and the LGBTQIA+ community, particularly those at the intersection of gender, race, and healthcare.
In 2023, Allie joined the Pohlad Family Foundation Board of Directors, where she supports the foundation’s racial justice and housing stability efforts.
Ben Hawn

Ben Hawn is the President and Chief Operating Officer at Pohlad Companies, where he oversees the organization's diverse operating businesses and investments. Before joining Pohlad Companies, Ben served as a Managing Partner and General Counsel at Argentem Creek Partners. Prior to Argentem, he worked as a Managing Director and Deputy General Counsel at Pine River Capital Management, and was an associate at Faegre Drinker before that.
He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Hamilton College in 1998 and served in the Marine Corps from 2000 to 2003. Ben earned his Juris Doctor from William Mitchell College of Law in 2007.
Ben currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the mpls downtown council and the Mpls Downtown Improvement District.
Melissa Bakeberg

Melissa Bakeberg is the Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Pohlad Companies. She joined the organization in 2012 as a Senior Compensation Manager and later served as Vice President of Total Rewards & HR before assuming her current role.
Prior to her tenure at Pohlad Companies, Melissa worked in finance and human resources at Tennant Company and began her career in public accounting at Lurie, Besikof, and Lapidus.
Melissa holds an accounting degree from Augsburg College and is a licensed CPA (Inactive).
Susan Bass Roberts

Susan Bass Roberts joined the Pohlad Family Foundation in 2016 as vice president, executive director and was named president in 2024. She is the first non-Pohlad family member to serve in this role since the Foundation’s founding in 1993.
Susan has more than 20 years of experience in philanthropy, social impact and communications. Prior to joining the Pohlad Family Foundation, she served as executive director of the Best Buy Foundation and as senior director of community relations for Best Buy Co., Inc., where she led the creation of the Best Buy Teen Tech Center program. Her experience also includes vice president of communications and community relations for the Atlanta Falcons Football Club, and owner of a boutique agency specializing in foundation management and public relations strategy for sports professionals. She also led The Limited Foundation as director of community affairs and philanthropy for Limited Brands, Inc.
Susan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism with an emphasis in public relations from The Ohio State University. She has a long history of community involvement and currently serves on the boards of the Constellation Fund and the Bush Foundation.
Dennis Goetz

Dennis Goetz joined Pohlad Companies in 2020 as Chief Financial Officer. Dennis has over 30 years of experience in finance and accounting roles in both public and private companies, including Carlson Companies, Buca di Beppo, and United Sports Brands. Most recently, he was the founder and principal of Boyd Consulting Group, LLC, a management consulting practice that specialized in advising private equity-owned businesses on financial governance, performance management and M&A.
Dennis is a Certified Management Accountant. He earned his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management and received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire, where he previously served as a School of Business Advisory Board member and finance guest lecturer. He currently serves on the board of directors of Skywater Technology (NASDAQ: SKYT) and is also active on non-profit boards of The Grief Club of Minnesota and Scouts BSA Northern Star Scouting council.

Karla Leis is President and Chief Executive Officer of PAR Systems, a partner to many of the world’s leading innovators for automation, advanced manufacturing and critical handling solutions. Karla’s leadership experience spans product management, technology innovation, international sales and marketing, and M&A integrations. Prior to joining PAR Systems, Karla held senior leadership roles at global organizations including nVent, Pentair and Tennant Company, where she led strategic initiatives that drove growth and operational excellence.
Karla serves on the Board of Directors for Red Wing Shoes, where she contributes to strategic guidance and business growth. She is passionate about developing and inspiring teams to work collaboratively, driving improved execution and business growth. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management.

Elizabeth M. Lilly is Chief Investment Officer and Executive Vice President for The Pohlad Companies and Pohlad Companies, LLC. She oversees the public and private investments for the Pohlad family and provides leadership and management of their investment team.
Beth began her career with Goldman Sachs in 1985 in New York. In 1988, Beth joined Fund American Companies in Greenwich Connecticut where she worked as an analyst learning the merits of Value Investing. In 1997, she co-founded Woodland Partners in Minneapolis which focused on investing in small capitalization equities. In 2002, Woodland Partners was acquired by GAMCO Investors where she went on to serve as a Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager of the $1.4 billion Teton Westwood Mighty Mites Fund and as a member of the value portfolio management team. In 2017, Beth founded Crocus Hill Partners to focus on investments in small and micro capitalization equities.
Beth received her BA in Economics from Hobart/William Smith College where she graduated with High Honors. She received her CFA designation in 1989. Beth currently serves on the Board of Directors for Apogee Enterprises, the Investment Committee of the University of Minnesota Endowment, and the Investment Advisory Committee for the John Templeton Foundation.
Matt Van Slooten

As CEO of United Properties Matt Van Slooten oversees all aspects of the business, which represents more than 7 million sq. ft. across several markets, including Minnesota, Colorado, Wisconsin and Florida.
Matt joined United Properties in 2018 as President and Portfolio CIO and was promoted to CEO in 2022. Matt has been a long-time real estate industry leader, with 25 years at Carlson Real Estate Company, advancing through all critical company roles leading ultimately to becoming president of the organization, a post he held for 13 years. Matt also served as the president of commercial properties for CSM Corporation for 4 years, overseeing a 10 million sq. ft. portfolio of industrial, office, and retail properties.
Matt is an active member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP) and a past Chapter President of NAIOP Minnesota. He is also a recipient of the NAIOP President’s Award (2009). He is an active member of the Young President’s Organization (YPO) and served on the Minnesota Chapter board as the membership chair. While at Carlson Companies, he was the recipient of the Carlson Fellow Award for Leadership Achievement, the company’s highest honor.

Jeffrey Weidell

Jeffrey Weidell is the chief executive officer of Northmarq. After serving as president for eight years, Jeffrey assumed the role of CEO in 2020 to continue to lead the company’s growth and transformation strategy. As part of this effort, he launched the Investment Sales business for Northmarq, created talent development with the Associate Producer/Associate Broker program, and initiated broader client offerings to include a new investment advisory fund business. Under his leadership, Northmarq’s loan servicing business has expanded quickly and offers customized client services with industry-leading capabilities.
Earlier in Jeffrey’s career, he was a highly successful mortgage banker, structuring debt and equity financing to meet the unique needs of his clients. He began with Trowbridge, Kieselhorst & Company, which was acquired by Northmarq in 2000, after which he became a managing director for Northmarq in San Francisco.
Jeffrey is an active leader in the industry serving as board member of the Silicon Valley chapter of NAIOP, vice chair of the Mortgage Bankers Association’s COMBOG Multifamily Council, a member of the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC), and former president of the Bay Area Mortgage Association. He holds the certified mortgage banker (CMB) designation. Jeffrey earned a BA in Economics from Columbia University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Erryn Williams joined the Pohlad Companies in 2021 as Chief Talent and Diversity Officer, leading DEI Strategy and key talent practices across the organization. She has more than 20 years of experience in human resources and diversity and inclusion roles in both public and private companies, including Cargill, Target, Best Buy, and Ryan Companies.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles and currently serves as Chair of the People & Culture Committee on the Board of Directors for Bridging, whose mission is to improve the lives of those transitioning out of homelessness and poverty.
Derek Falvey
President, Baseball and Business Operations

Derek Falvey was named President, Baseball and Business Operations on March 3, 2025 after leading the club's baseball operation for eight seasons (2017-24), serving in the role of President, Baseball Operations from 2019-24 and Executive Vice President, Chief Baseball Officer from October 2016 through the 2019 season. Falvey succeeds Dave St. Peter, who served as club President for 22 years.
As a member of the Twins’ executive leadership team, Falvey has been instrumental in accelerating the club’s organization-wide commitment to employee growth, development and mental health. Falvey has also been an active partner in evolving the club’s strategic planning process, focusing on innovation and dedication to community engagement.
In his role on the baseball side, Falvey is responsible for establishing the vision and related strategies for the club’s baseball operations. Specifically, he oversees all aspects of the department, including: the major league team, coaches and support staff; contract negotiations; player development; scouting; research and development; medical; and communications. On the business side, he oversees the team's day-to-day operations, strategic planning and interaction with Major League Baseball.
